Kwago is an independent, non-stock, non-profit research and publishing laboratory that creates ways to make stories publicly accessible in multiple formats across social classes. We work under the principles of Free Open-Source Software (FOSS) but also support the dignity of creative labor. We develop publications, programs and projects to hold spaces centered on free speech, creativity and collective reimagining of authorship and access.

We believe in the power of paper, ink, and code as tools for the practice of freedom.
